VIDEO DIORAMAS by Antony Flackett

Tragedy Box
1994

This was the first video diorama box designed by Antony Flackett. It features a sped up version of Romeo and Juliet (a less than a minute loop) and was displayed at Massachusetts College of Art's Godine Gallery in June of 1994.

 

Morality Box (Vers.1)
1995

 

 This is the original version of Flackett's Morality Box from his thesis show at MassArt. The video loop involves his humorous interpretation of the Adam and Eve Story. This piece was huge and no longer exists but it was redone for the "Inside the Box" show at the Howard Yezerski Gallery in Boston (see below).
